On Saturday, June 6th at Life In Deep Ellum - Dallas, TX, Art Conspiracy announced their collaboration with Cykochik. Cykochik’s “Causes Collection” featuring the artwork of 3 past Art Conspiracy artists will launch in the fall of
2015 and will consist of three eco-canvas tote bags made from 45% recycled plastics (i.e. water bottles) and digitally printed on with the artwork. Cykochik and Art Con will invite past Dallas Art Conspiracy artists to participate in creating original artworks for the bags with their interpretations of “Compassion”. The public will have the opportunity to vote for the winning three designs to be produced.
The Causes Collection officially launched on February 22, 2014 online at www.Custom-Handbags.com, in collaboration with international animal welfare organization, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and Dallas non-profit ATG Against The Grain Productions. On November 18, 2014, Cykochik added the Project PB&J Collection in collaboration with international, Dallas-based restaurant chain Which Wich to help them “Spread the Love” nationwide in giving over 100,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to those in need since 2014.
It has been Cykochik’s Founder/President Nikki Duong Koenig’s philosophy from the very beginning for the brand to be stylish and fun but also socially responsible. Nikki Duong Koenig states that “as a long-time supporter and former artist of Art Con, I wanted to be able to continually support Art Con, their beneficiaries, and Dallas artists on a global scale through Cykochik’s Causes Collection collaboration.
"I’m inspired by Art Con’s street-level philanthropy in bringing the Dallas artist community together and making art fun and accessible to a broader audience.” - Nikki Duong Koenig
“We are really excited about this collaboration with Cykochik, and the chance to work with our talented artists outside of our main events. The opportunity allows us to reach a broader audience, as well as allowing our artists to create something outside of their regular bounds,” - Erica Felicella, Executive Director of Art Conspiracy.
